Jones Fambly
Thanks for your prayers. I´m going to work as hard as i can so God can make it happen. I get frustrated sometimes because Satan is working really hard to stop our investigators from progressing. It´s ridiculous:( Franco is one of our investigators that had a baptismal date. He prayed and knew it was true, but his mom hates us and doesn´t want him to receive us anymore so he told his cousin to tell us not to come by:( but this week, Ayelen, we have been teaching her english, went to a baptism with us, and she´s going through a lot of problems right now. they found out that her dad has cancer, so we gave her the book of mormon and told her how it would help her, so she´s going to read it:) she´s really great! I love her to death.
Yanina went to church again on Sunday. I gave her a skirt cuz she wasn´t go to go cuz she felt dumb going in pants. luckily it fit her. that was a miracle cuz she´s this tiny little thing, and I didn´t think it would.
Also, we were able to really teach Daiana´s mom this last week. I think she got a little mad at me because i showed her in the scriptures that her church isn´t really true ( which, just so you know, was super hard for me to so) not because i can´t find scriptures to prove her wrong but because it´s hard for me to be frank with people and just tell them straight out that their church is wrong, or their baptism isn´t valid, cuz it just seems so harsh. but i realized that sometimes you have to tell them plainly because this is their salvation! It´s kinda important...
We weren´t bible bashing or anything. i just read her the scripture and testified to her that there is only ONE true church.
I know it´s true, and i´m do grateful to be a missionary!!!!
Love you all and i´ll be talking to you soon:)

Fambly Mail

Hey Beloved Fambly!!! I didn´t wish you all happy thanksgiving last week so... HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!! Our thanksgiving turned out to be... well, not thanksgiving. It´s kinda a long story but in the end we ate rice with cheese in our apartment, but we did we make a banana cream pie the night before, so we officially had pie night! Yay! keeping the tradition alive, even in Argentina!!! oh, and also, the pie i made was a love pie! I took a picture of it! so that´s for you, cousin Dani:) Well, this week has been kinda a roller-coaster. Daiana was supposed to get baptized this next saturday but now she can´t because she didn´t go to church and she´s really not ready anyway, but it may be an answer to my prayers because we want the whole family to get baptized together and I wasn´t feeling really good about her getting baptized alone... so we´ll see. It still got me kinda down though. But, it´s crazy how when we get down, God sends us something to lift us up. That something for me came on Sunday. Yanina, an investigator went to church with us., and we´ve only taught her once but when we were walking home she said to us out of the blue, ¨when i know more about the church, i want to get baptized.¨ I almost peed my pants I was so startled! haha so i said, alright... we can teach you if you want;) Man, I LOVE being a missionary!!!! I´ve basically decided to keep being a missionary my whole life! I´ll just keep doing it after i get home, but as a kind of side job:) Anyway, That´s all i got this week! but I love you all! thanks for your love and prayers. please keep praying for me, and mostly for my investigators.

Love,
 Hermana Jones

Ode to Thanksgiving!

Well, first and foremost, i had to pass through an ordeal this week that really just made me appreciate even more one of the only traditions that we have in America. We may not have a traditional food, or drink ¨mate¨ but we celebrate Thanksgiving!!! We ate with the bishop´s family on Saturday, and his wife asked us why we celebrate thanksgiving. So we told her, we give thanks for everything we have. it´s like a holiday to remember the things we´re grateful for. and she said somthing like, ¨that doesn´t make sense¨ .... Huh? how does that not make sense? so we explained to her how it came about with the pilgrims and indians, and she kept trying to find an argentine holiday that would be similar, but she couldn´t because it doesn´t exist.
Anyway, even though Argentines don´t understand why we have a day to stuff ourselves until we´re about to throw up, I love it! and it´s something that i really am proud of! you can be ungrateful all you want, Argentina. But i am going to keep my day to give thanks! haha
Anyway, that´s really all for this week. I have more things to share, things that actually have to do with mission work, but i´ll tell you all later:)
Love,
Hermana Jones

PS Congrats on the wedding Ken!

Miracles Happen

Hey again Papa:)
You get 2 emails because you sent me 2. haha but this one you can send to the family so that everyone will get off my back! jk, i love you all!
oh, but first of all, to answer your question... I´m really not unorganized at all. My concerns had more to do with having to be in charge. i don´t like responsibility. but it´s been ok! God is helping me:)
and speaking of God, I have a couple stories to tell this week! 2 miracles
firstly... we were walking down the street one day and a lady yelled at us from her window on the other side of the street, so we crossed, and the crazy woman is trying to ask us a question, but there is like mach 5 wind outside (not even joking) and we can´t hear a word she´s saying. seriously, it was miracle enough that we heard her call to us from the street.
so she yells, ¨i´ll come down!¨ and we´re like... please do. so she comes down and says, ¨i was just wondering if there´s a mormon college around here¨ and we said, ¨nope. but can we come in?¨ and she said, ¨sure¨ and told us how her daughter had gone to the church before and they talked to the missionaries, but in the north. they just moved here from Cordoba. Anyway, They´re really great!!! and it the mom, grandma, and granddaughter that live there. the granddaughter is the one who went to the church before. so we set up an apt. to go back in this next week. miracle number 1
miracle 2... Gustavo. He was a reference from the elders, a street contact. we were trying to find his house yesterday but forgot the map in the pension and so we decided to go visit some other people, and then on the way back ( oh, we were with a member, Gabriel) so we were talking to him and just happened upon the street we were looking for before! gustavo´s street. so we found his house and he let us in, and told us he had talked to an elder, he couldn´t even remember his name, but that it changed everything. he went out that day looking for a fight. and the elder came up to him and said, ¨how´s it going brother?¨ and he said he didn´t know why he didn´t yell at him or insult him even though he was really angry, but he just answered, ¨not good¨ and the elder told him he should go to church. Gustavo promised him that he would and they parted ways.
It was a five minute conversation, but for the rest of the day, good things were happening to him. He had left his house that day, ready to kill someone (literally, a guy owed him money and he went to get it from him. he said, ¨i had my knife in my pocket, and if he didn´t pay me, I was going to kill him¨) but after he talked to this missionary, he hid his knife somewhere on the side of the road, and picked it up on the way back from talking to the man who owed him.
He told us, ¨I just want to know the path. I´ve never gone to church in my life but i want to go, because i promised that elder! and i don´t know if your path is the path that God wants me on, but I´m willing to follow it. I´ll do whatever i need to.¨
yep... that´s miracle number 2. I was like.... ¨umm... ok. We´ll teach you¨ :)
so, that´s that! Those people who say that God doesn´t do miracles anymore are absolutely mistaken! I was always ok with just having little miracles, but i´m not gonna complain if He lets me see big ones too ;)
Anyways, Times up! but i love you all bunches!!!! Be Good!!!
Love,
Hermana Jones

Um....

So, I´m here in Neuquen! I said goodbye to everyone in Trelew. my investigator, Deborah, cried a lot and she wrote me a really beautiful letter and gave me her hair clip to remember her ( and i´m actually wearing it right now!) she´s so cute! I just want her to get baptized. unfortunately she has to get married first, or separated:( but i know she´s going to get baptized soon!
anyway, so fun story, I was feeling pretty good, I didn´t even cry in the bus when i left. 12 hours later (oh ps, i hate long bus rides!) i arrived, slightly tired, in the terminal and started talking to my new comp, Hna Murdock. We were waited for the taxi to get there and I asked her how long she had been in Neuquen. And she said, no... yesterday. and of course we were speaking in spanish and i thought maybe she just hadn´t understood me, so i asked her in English, ¨no, How long have you been here in Neuquen?¨ and she said, ¨yeah, I understood you. I got here yesterday¨
umm.... WHAT?! yes, that´s right. we´re whitewashing the area... and nobody told me!!!! I almost died of a heart attack! how are they going to forget to tell me something as important as that?! so yeah, haha I just laughed and was like, ok this will be fun. and we went to the pension. then, i soon realized that the missionaries before us left nothing behind as far as teaching records go, so we basically are just starting over from scratch... even more fun. haha but seriously, I´m lovin it. it´s definitely an adventure. the first few days, we just went out and knocked doors all day long! we also didn´t have lunch and the other hnas left us without minutes in the cellphone, so we went to a public phone and just started calling random families in the ward. we got ahold of hna Monzon who said she could give us lunch the next day, and when we went to her house, we told her that we didn´t have lunch that week, and she called eveyone until she found someone to feed us for every day! so, God is definitely helping us:) even in the small things.
Our ward mission leader seems really great, although he thinks we´re stupid because we got lost on our way to the church, but it wasn´t our fault, we just had the map upside down... i probably shouldn´t admit that to you guys, and i shouldn´t have told him either, because then afterward, he told us which way was north and which was south like 12 times, and then made us repeat it to make sure we understood... GRRR!!! we´re not blonde! haha it´s ok though..
Anyway, just wantyou all to know that i´m doing great! Thanks for everything!!!
Love,
Hermana Jones

Me Voy

Well Fambly!
Transfers came again! and this time i´m changing. I´m going to Neuquen! and i´m going to be senior comp... umm... I don´t know what my Father was thinking when He decided that, but then i guess we never do know:) Anyway, it´s definitely going to be a learning experience! My new comp is Hna Murdock and i met her once before because she was in my zone in my first area. She seems really great so i´m excited!!! Although I´m seriously going to miss Hna Varela! with 3 whole transfers together we´re already really used to each other, so it´s gonna be different getting to know yet another comp, different but always fun:)
so, the penguins... well, they are pretty cute. there´s a ton of them! like millions so it was fairly entertaining to go visit, even though it ended up eating up our whole p day cuz we had to travel 2 hrs to get there and 2 hrs back. I took a bunch of pictures so i´ll send you those soon! It was a pretty fun drive. all of the elders squished into the back of this little truck, and my comp and i went in the front seat ( which was also super squished) and every time anyone moved, the hna that was driving swirved all over the road. I was kind of afraid for my life! but luckily, we all survived:)
Anyway, that´s all for now! I love you all and miss you!
Love Hna Jones
PS I got the packages! from mom and from JD too! THANKS A BUNCH:) Love the skirt Telli! and the shirt from the volleyball tournament. I´m gonna use it on a p day!

Springtime!!!

Well, It seems that Spring has pretty much arrived! All the trees are covered with flowers and things are starting to look a little greener! It´s a miracle!!! I love springtime! to be honest, it´s a little disorienting having springtime come in September! haha but that´s ok. I still love it just as much as if i were at home. This last week, my comp and i got kinda freaked out because we couldn´t find the moon for about 5 days! I don´t know where it went, but it seriously disappeared! Maybe it ´s some sort of weird thing that only happens in the south...? anyway, it reappeared a couple of nights ago so we´re ok now:) Nobody else even noticed that it was gone! probably because we´re the only ones who spend the whole day outside, and we always look at the stars at night when we´re walking back to the pension. Also, there´s this really Ginormous star that appeared a couple months ago! IT´s SUPER bright! Can you guys see it from there too? I don´t remember how the stars work exactly, but I think there are some that are only seen in the North or South.... I don´t know.
Anyway, This week is Hna Varela´s Brithday! I´m going to make her a carrot cake. When i told her, she thought i was crazy because carrot cakes don´t exist here:) hopefully it turns out ok. you should probably all pray for me. haha no, but seriously.
Anyway, That´s all I´m going to write for now:) I hope everyone is FANTASTIC! I love you all and miss you a little bit every once in a while ;)

I´m so grateful for the wonderful family that God gave me!
Just so you all know, I´m doing great! I always forget what i want to tell you when i come to do internet... the next week i´m going to write down what i want to say.

Recovering

My Beloved Fambly...
It is oficially FREEZING outside. wanna know how i know? because this morning my comp hung her clothes out to dry (our landlady doesn´t like us to hang them inside cuz she says it gets everthing wet and foggy) and when we went out to wash to stairs, i noticed that there were icicles hanging from the bottom of all of her clothes!!! haha I touched her toweland it amost shattered into a million pieces! How great is that?! so i took a picture. I have a feeling her clothes aren´t going to dry anytime soon:)
oh, so then we had to clean the stairs but it was really difficult because my comp would wash one and the dirty water would freeze to it faster than i could dry it! in the end the stairs ended up dirtier than when we started, and definitely more dangerous, cuz they had a layer of icky brown ice! hahaha i don´t know why we even tried.
So, it´s a little bit cold but today really isn´t bad because it´s not windy. 2 nights ago, we went with one of our investigators to his church. he´s evangelical. and when we were walking there, it was SO cold because of the wind. we almost died! but luckily we made it to his church, and it was actually really great. my first experience going to another church, and luckily i didn´t leave the building traumatized:) no, the people were all super friendly! they invited us in and we sat down. They sing a lot! we sang all the songs with them which was pretty fun:) Oh, and we went because we made a deal with him that if we went to his church, he would come to ours. and he came sunday, AND he brought his friend. So, it was great!
anyway, I gotta go! I love you all!
Love, Hna Jones

Stuck in the Mud!

so... first of all, did you get the pictures i sent in my email? cuz I really want to know if they actually get there or not, cuz if not i wont waste my time in sending them.
Second... Happy 24th of July:) and I dont really remember what I wanted to tell you all...
I guess Ill just catch ya up on the semi-interesting things that happened this week.
the other night we were leaving an appt and had to go to our mision leader who lives on the other side of this big empty field, so rather than go all the way around, we figured that we would just cut through and save time. So, its kinda dark (cuz thats what happens at night) and we are just frolicking merrily through this field when, all of a sudden, we sink! uh oh! so were like, Dang it!!! the dirt wasn{t as dry as it looked... so our feet are all sunk in and we figure we better turn around and head back in the other direction, and we{re trying to yank our boots out of this horrible mud that i{m almost certain is a creation of the devil! seriously, in my whole life i have never seen mud so sticky! anyway, I get out one foot and am able to turn around to help my comp who is having more difficulties. so she{s holding onto my arm and trying to get her shoe unstuck but the problem is that her boots are a little bit too big for her, so her foot comes out but the boot stays and she got all off-balance and toppled over. I tried to catch her but to no avail! Luckily, I didnt fall with her:) so we finally get her boot out and make our way out of the demon field, to the house of our mission leader, with our boots, and my comp{s skirt, completely covered in mud. Turns out, he and his wife had family over and literally every person in that house was looking at us like we were slimey creatures that just crawled out of a sewer drain. haha it was horrible, but hilarious at the same time. I think i probably laughed off 5 lbs... (I wish it worked that way) haha
and that{s all i got to say this week because... I just got bored of typing:)
but i love you oodles and gobs!!!
LOVE,
Hermana Jones

A New Transfer!

HEY!!!!!!!
well, it´s a new transfer! and my comp and i are both staying here:) yes, it´s a good thing! we´ve got some great investigators and set goals that we are going to reach!
sunday was a fantastic day! well... It was pretty much horrible outside, rainy and windy( it´s the wind that gets me) but it didn´t even matter how ridiculously cold it was, the day was still wonderful. wanna know why? cuz Paola got baptized, and Lorenzo received the Arronic Priesthood!
First of all, Paola... she called us Saturday evening and was like, Hey, I can´t get baptized tomorrow cuz my husband says that he´ll kick me out of the house if i do! so we went to talk to her, and her husband, out of the blue, came home the night before and said that to her,and that Mormons worship Satan and we steal babies. he told her we were only there to take their little girl! ( that´s one that i´ve seriously never heard before) and she started to doubt. she knows we aren´t satanic, and she already got her answer that the church is true, but Satan always seems to creep in when their about to be baptized. anyways, we talked to her and told her she just had to pray. We reminded her that she already felt the spirit confirm that it´s true and God will bless her for doing what she knows is right no matter how scary it seems. so she said, ¨well, come by in the morning and I´ll let you know if i´m getting baptized for sure.¨
Oh, you don´t even know how nerve-wracking that night was! but when we went by in the morning to pick her up for church, there she was, and she said she was waiting for her sister to get ready and she would see us there! and then she came! and the baptism was fabulous! and guess what! her husband came!!!! he was there for her baptism, and a talk after, and ate cake with us. It was a miracle! and then afterward, they gave the elders a ride to their house and her husband invited them to come visit them!
I was flabbergasted! but yeah, it was a wonderful day. oh, i didn´t tell you about Lorenzo! He is seriously Golden! you don´t even know how great this kid is! he walked to church in the freezing cold, and we were leaving to go pick up an investigator when he got there, so he said, oh i´ll come with you! ( the investigator lives close to him so he knows her) and we walked all the way back to his house. we went to get her and he had to grab something, so we were going to pick him up in the taxi but there wasn´t room, so he told us to just go, and he walked all the way back to the church in the rain again to be there for sacrament meeting! and he sat by our investigator and helped them with their hymn books and everything!
to be continued.. i gotta go!
love you all!
Happy B-day to JD, and Brooklynne, and Brogan!!!!

It's me again!

Thanks Papa, for your testimony:) and for everything! How was the 4th of July? what did you all do? I realized saturday night that you were probably all celebrating and watching fireworks, and I told Hna Varela, hey guess what! Tomorrow is independence day! Happy 4th of July, Hermana! haha she was like... umm, thanks. its weird that a holiday that has been so huge my whole life doesnt even exist here. it{s probably going to be even weirder on thanksgiving! but anyway...
Lorenzo got baptized Saturday! it was fantastic! you dont even know how excited i am for him! also, Argentina lost in soccer, which is really a blessing in disguise because now we don{t have to worry about not being able to work during argentinas matches, because there wont be anymore:) It was still pretty sad though when they lost. we went to the house of a less active member cuz she said while they were watching the game, we could cook, and then just have lunch there with them. so we tried to do that but my comp couldn{t really focus on the food, she was so anxious to see what happened in the game! i think she almost grated her finger off like 5 times:) haha
hmm... what to tell this week... I dont know, but last night, when we got to the pension we were so tired! so i{m sure we must have done somthing this week, but i guess it just wasnt terribly entertaining. Im pretty sure we were so tired because we literally knocked houses all day yesterday! and apt buildings, which are worse cuz you have to cilmb up all those stairs! haha, but it really wasn{t all that bad. in fact, it{s probably good for me! I should do it every day!
guess what. my boots are almost entirely dead, and when i got to trelew one of the members gave me new ones ( cuz i forgot mine in regina) so i wore tose out completely, and then my other ones got here and now ive almost killed these ones! shoes just dont last!!!! I dont know why they dont make them... better. thicker or something! but i guess its because most people don{t walk around all day long, every day, for months, in the same pair of shoes:)
This is super boring email... sorry, but my brain doesn{t seem to be functioning all that well today:)
Hope you know that I love you!
Besitos

June 28, 2010

well well well.... One more week in Argentina! I dont know exactly what to tell ya... but basically life here is great! I think i say that in every email:) but its true! This week the weather did this super weird personality change. It went from freezing cold to super warm. Im kinda confused about our relationship now cuz i had pretty much decided to hate the weather and then it goes and does this... and totally redeems itself!
anyway, aside from my love-hate relationship with the climate, did i tell you that it{s the mundial of soccer! yeah, i just gotta tell you that everyone here LOVES soccer! its actually really great. The whole of Argentina unites in soccer:) Argentina beat Mexico on Sunday. we had to go back to our apt to study during the game, and afterward it was a little difficult to find anyone who would let us into their house to teach them... mostly because practically everyone, when argentina wins, drives crazy to the middle of the city, with kids hanging out the windows of the cars and sitting on top, waving flags and hocking the entire way there! haha I love it! seriously, you can feel the energy in the air. EVERYONE is happy and shouting and singing, throwing firecrackers from the tops of buildings:) so basically, there werent a whole lot of people available to teach...
but, we knocked this house right after we had left the apt, and an old lady answered and told us we could come in but she was choking on something so she just kept coughing and coughing, went to get a drink, coughed some more. so we were just waiting in her kitchen to say a prayer with her, leave a pamphlet, and go. but she finally comes back in to the room, and shes like, ok well, bye. and i said, you dont want us to pray? and she said, no im catholic... me: thats lovely, so are we gonna pray or what? jk, that{s not what i said. it was more like, ok we can just say a prayer and go. and she said, what a pretty little girl, and patted my cheek real creepy-like, and I said, so should i say the prayer? and then she told us to get out of her house, patted my cheek again, except harder like she really just wanted to slap me, and said, vayan chicas! vayan! and shooed us out the door like dirty little kittens! .......She was kinda crazy i think... she invited us into her house, made us wait while she almost choked to death and then commanded us to leave... I don{t get it, but we got into the street and comp and just looked at each other and bust up laughing! i think it would probably be funnier if you were there:)
so thats all this week! ps Lorenzo is getting baptized saturday!!!!
Love,
Hna Jones

June 21, 2010

I really don´t have a lot to say right now, just that´s it been a great week! I keep seeing miracles but I don´t know if they would sound like miracles if i explained them to you... This is His work, and if we´re doing all we can, He´ll help us to reach all of our goals! It just amazes me. You know what else amazes me, my comp! she´s like a tiny little miracle! seriously, you give her something to do and she gets it done! I´m learning SO much from her!!!
anyway, something entertaining that happened this week... we had an hermana from the ward who agreed to accompany us one day to a couple appts, so we met her and went to the houses, and they weren´t there, and plan b, and plan c, and d... nobody! so, we just start frantically knocking doors because we´re supposed to have 10 lessons with a member, we´re behind on our goal, and we were hoping to get 2 with this hermana. plus, it´s just horrible to take someone with you and not even be able to teach:( anyway, everyone rejects us, so we start walking back to her house to drop her off and pass the house of one of our new investigators, so we knock, and her son let´s us in. he says, ¨my mom´s in the bathroom right now. just wait a minute¨ so we sit down and she comes out in a towel and is like, hey, i can´t talk to you right now cuz i´m about to get in the bath! and my comp says, ¨well, can we say a prayer really quick?¨ hahaha so she´s like, ok that´s fine. and we pray, with this women in a towel... haha
fun stuff.
anyway, gotta go!
love you all!
Hna Jones

Hey Fam!

Dear Fam,
I don´t have much time. we went to puerto madryn today to see the whales! that was pretty fun but we weren´t able to email before and we got back later than we wanted so i gotta make this quick:)
I´m sending you pics, there are 2 of my bday party with Lorena and Mariela, and then... with Hna Porter. we painted for a service project. umm... then the others you can see my new comp, Hna Varela! those are from today... hopefully they make it to you!
what do i have to tell you... our investigator, Lorenzo, took his friend to institute with him the other day! we were so shocked!!! we just mentioned it to Lorenzo when we were teaching, like hey there´s an institute class tonight at the church. you can go if you want. and the next time we went to teach him, his friend, Orlando, was like, ¨hey lorenzo, we forgot to do the homework! we were supposed to read about enos.¨ and my comp and i were so confused... and they´re like ¨yeah, we went to institute last night.¨ we practically jumped out of our seats we were so excited!!! haha then we taught them both together and put a baptismal date with Orlando! he´s going to be baptized the day before his bday, July 2! and Lorenzo, June 26!!!! They´re really great! and they both had a lot of problems before with drugs and all that, but they´ve been changing their lives up to this point. now they just have to leave behind a few little things:) I really think God was preparing them to accept His gospel!
Anyway, we´re pretty excited about that!!!
love you all for ever and ever!!!!
Love, Hna Jones
oh, and Mom, I gave your email address to a member here that we met today. her name is Adriana Castro and she´s going to email you. she´s moving to Utah, park city and is looking for somewhere to live and work. but she doesn´t know anyone there. she asked if i knew anyone and I told her I didn´t but that maybe you might know of someone, or be able to check into it a little... i don´t know. maybe Uncle Donny knows someone.... anyway, just a heads up. don´t worry, she´s not trying to mooch or anything. she just doesn´t know where to start looking.
also, if you can send me some pics of the house (our house) from the outside, that´d be super. my comp wants to see it:)
And Dad, what is your calling right now? she asks me the weirdest questions;)
also Mama, sorry, I´ll answer all your questions next week! Luv ya!

My 1st Week in Trelew!!!

Hey Fambly!
well, this has been probably the longest week in the history of the world! but the first week of transfers is always like that. But I´m sure you want to know about my new area, my comp, and all that.... or maybe you don´t but I´m going to tell you anyway:) you know how I am, even when my stories are lame, I have to tell them!
so, my comp is awesome! Her name is Hna Varela and she´s from Cordoba. She´s really great! she´s a hard worker and super nice. and to think, i was worried. I´ve also come to realize that, whoa, I can communicate! haha I can even joke in Spanish! how great is that?! and I have to speak Spanish ALL THE TIME now. strangely, it´s really ok. I haven´t really missed speaking English too much. This area is definitely different that Villa Regina, but it´s good and I know we´re seriously going to see miracles here! there´s one investigato rwe have that I´m super excited about ( well, they´re all really awesome, but... ya know what I mean)His name is Lorenzo and he´s going to be baptized! we put a Baptismal date with him and he accepted just like that. He came to church on Sunday too! but i have to tell about when we challenged him to baptism cuz it was really great. it went like this...
us: so lorenzo, are you willing to follow Jesus Christ and be baptized?
him: yeah, but do i have to be baptized with lots of people around?
us: no, you can invite as many people as you want.
him: ok, good. cuz I would just feel kind of awkward being naked in front of all those people.
us: hahahahhahaha no, darling, you will be wearing clothes ( well, we didn´t say darling. i don´t even know how in Castellano:) but we explained everything to him and it was ok)
but he´s really great. he´s 21... ? and just super awesome! I´m so excited for him!!!
but that´s all fo now!

Transfer Time!

Hey Fam!!!!
So, here´s what´s goin down... I´m leaving good ol Villa Regina and heading way down south to Trelew! My comp is going to be Hna Varela. She´s from Argentina and I hear she´s really great! My first Latin comp! woohoo.... but seriously I´m super excited:)
oh, I have to tell you, I bought big rubber boots last week! cuz it rained SO much for like three days straight, which basically meant that we were trudging through swamps! there was so much mud!!!!
it was hilarious. we wore our boots that suck as far as waterproofness goes. (mine are suede and hna Porters have giant holes in the soles) and in 2 min our feet were soaked! so we had lunch with flia Salgado and we told them about our wet feet and they decided to help us out. they found some of Hna salgado´s shoes for hna Porter ( with bright pink tall socks) and then, because my feet are Argentine man sized, I ended up with Hno Salgado´s boots. they were too big but I had dry feet at least. and that´s how we left their house, with skirts, thermals underneath of course, and hideous boots! we were quite the sight. everyone in the bus kept looking at us like we were crazy:) but, oh well, they worked really nicely! not a drop of water got in!!!! but, that night we bought our rubber boots so we would look a little less stupid.
Oh man! I´m gonna miss Hna Porter! But it´s ok. The mission can´t be easy, and it´s just too easy with her. we´re way too comfrotable together:) haha anyway, gots to go!
Love you all muchisimo!!!!!!
Love, Hna Jones

Happy Birthday Cami!

We decided to celebrate Cami's birthday even though she wasn't invited...But only because we all knew very well that she couldn't come, being thousands of miles away from us all.
We went to the park and had cake and ice cream. Also, the most delicious salsa and home-made root beer. Yum!!
Here are some pictures to commemorate the event.
Loads of fun with family and friends!

Dear Fambly...

Thanks for all the Bday wishes and the love:) I Love my presents and I forgot to tell Telli that those socks ( which are SO awesome!!! ) do go up to my thigh! but just barely:) anyway... haha I had a great Bday. I feel very loved. my comp made me a cake, and Lorena did too, and a less-active couple in the ward, and we had dinner with Lorena´s Fambly, drank hot cocoa with Mariela and Fabian, I opened my bday packages in the morning of course! SO MUCH LOVE! haha
and guess what! here, people get 3 wishes when they blow out the candle!!!! I have been jipped(sp?) my whole life!!!
So, turns out bdays in the mission aren´t too shabby:) and I get to have one more! I don´t know if I already told you that, when exactly I´m coming home, but it´s in June. I forgot the date but Hna Morrill could tell you. I´m pretty sure she had it memorized ;)
Umm... This week has been a good one! Yesterday we found a family. The mom was there and 6 of her 9 kids!!!! crazy huh? They´re really great! we´re excited to go back and teach them again!
That´s all I´ve got time for, but love you all!!!!
Love,

¡¡¡LA FAMILIA JONES!!!

HEY HEY HEY!!! guess what! Mother´s Day is growing ever closer! you know what that means? you better all start buying every flower at star nursery for my mama:) also, I get to talk to you all soon!!!!
So, I have lot´s to tell you this week! I have a new comp! and she´s WONDERFUL!!!! We´ve only been together for 6 days now but i already love her. I feel like we can do so much here! this week we found 27 new investigators!!! can you believe it?! we found a couple really awesome families that are so ready for the gospel! I´m way excited! (in case you couldn´t already tell by all the exclamation points... haha)
Also, something really great happened this week. we were knocking doors and talked to this guy in one house and he said he wasn´t interested, and i´m sure we invited him to church or something, and then just left and continued down the street to knock the next one. I think we knocked one more and then we were walking when somebody yelled at us. so we turned around and this lady was practically running down the sidewalk and she was like, wait wait! I was in that house that you just knocked visiting, and I wanna hear what you have to say! do you think you could pass by my house sometime?
and we were like... ¨hmm... I don´t know... do we really want to?¨ haha jk we were like ¨HECK YES!!! WE¨D LOVE TO!!!¨ haha turns out she actually lives in the elders area:( but that´s ok.
I´ve never had that happen before! it was so awesome!
But, I gotta go! I love you all oodles and gobs!

My Wonderful Family!

Well... IT´s the beginning of a new transfer and I am here in Regina still:) I think I kept forgetting to tell you guys before, but Hna Morrill is on her way home! yep, I killed my Trainer, and I´m getting a new comp tonight!!! Her name is Hna Porter and everyone keeps telling me that she looks like barbie, and that she´s really nice too. She went to UVU too i think!
I was kinda hoping for a latina comp, i´m not gonna lie (just to force me to speak Spanish all the time, and learn it faster). but i was just praying for whatever would help me to grow and would be best for His work, and I´m pretty sure He knows best! :)
So, I´m with Bishop´s daughter right now for the day! Hna Morrill left at 8 this morning and Hna Porter won´t arrive until 11 tonight, so I have all day with Nazarena! I´m going to be teaching with her tonight too... that´s gonna be a new experience!
So, yesterday was Hna Morrill´s last day which meant that we visited a lot of members so she could say goodbye and all that. We ate lunch with Flia Campos, Empanadas! and then we visited some other people, and then we had dinner with Flia Velasquez, and ate MORE empanadas! they´re so good, but I ate too many and now i feel like they´re still stuck to the lining of my stomache!
anyway, I gotta stop there! I´ll let you know more about how things are going with my new comp next week:)
Love you all BASTANTE!

April 12, 2010

I´ve been a little bit discouraged just because nobody is progressing right now. we find people but we can´t get them to church, and it´s just frustrated, but it´s all about love! everyhting is about love!!! and you have to love the poeple but soetimes it´s like you don´t want to because you want to protect yourself for when they let you down. that sounds dramatic but it´s true. we were teaching a woan named olga, but she just won´t do what she needs to! she has all the desie in the wold, but she efuses to change! It´s frustrating and disheartening because i just want her to see!
but, God always loves them, just like He´s always loved me, and always will. I was reading in Jacob 5 a couple weeks ago. I can´t reember if i already told you this but it just made me cry. God is goin through His vineyard and sees that all His trees have failed Him. it just goes throuh every one, this one in this part, and the other one, and the He goes to the trees he planted in good soil,a nd even those ones are bringing forth bad fruit! and I just felt how much pain it ust bring Him when we turn away fro Him and do things that He knows wont bring us happiness. And it says when He saw that last tree had gone bad, the Lord of the Vineyard wept. I know that He loves us SO uch, and He weeps for us. Even the ost unloveable person is unconditionally loved by God. Wow! That´s aazing to mme.
Anyway, just a couple omre things, and i guess you can send whatever part of this you want to everyone. I told you about Marisa, the lady with the page full of questions, and i can´t reember if i told you that she´s seventh day adventist, so she´s just stuck on that, because it doesn´t say in the bible that God changed the sabbath to sunday instead of Saturday. but as long as we stay away fro that particaular subject she loves everything else! Anyway, last time we taught her, she told us a stoy ight before we left.she was like, ¨oh yeah, i remembered the other day that when i was about 19, there were these 2 young couples in y church who were eally nice! and one day i realized that i hadn´t seen then at church in a while, so i asked someone what happened to them, and they said,´they´re Mormons now´, and I was like, ´What? but they were so nice! How did that happen?!´ but now I know! they ust´ve read your book!¨ haha it was so cute! she makes e laugh. She is so going to be baptized soeday! I just don´t know if i´ll be here to see it happen:( I really hope so though. I just keep praying for her!
ok, last story! this doesn´t really have to do with the imssion but Elder spjute, my zone leader told me this story this week and i laughed so hard i almost peed y pants, so i wanna shae it:)
ok, so there was this autistic guy, like 20 somthing years old, and he lived by himself in a little apt. his mom always checked up and him and stuff, but he was fairly independent. anyway, he loved lord of the rings! and one day he called his om up and was like, ¨Mom, guess what! I found a Hobbit!!!¨ and she was like, ¨no you didn´t, honey. there aen´t Hobbits¨, but he was like, ¨No! I really did! and I caught him too! coe see him!" and she was just like ¨ok, i´ busy right now but I´ll coe to see you toorrow ok?¨ so, he ageed to that and the next day his omm cae by, and he answered the door all excited, and dragged her back to his room, and she was suprised to see a desk barricading the door. He oves it and opens the door, and there´s a midget in the room!!! He was a Jehovah´s Witness who happened to knock on this guys door. He answered it, snatched that Hobbitt up, and locked hi in the room for a whole day and a half until his mom came by! hahaha
I hope you´re laughing! cuz if not, there is something wrong with you:)
LOVE YOU ALL!!!
Til next week,
Hermana Jones
PS sorry about the shortage of M´s...
also, Ducky... You´ve got a plum on your back. but it´s really sall. it´s like a baby plum:)

A little something to share

Hey Shubbs!
I almost forgot that I was going to email you!!!
so... transfers passed and i´m in villa regina, godoy still! that´s kiinda what i expected though:) it´s pretty sweet but a lot of our investigators have just been truchos lately ( not progressing) which gets a little frustrating but we just need to figure out how we can help them understand better or soomething... I don´t know. but we´re still working and teaching people. it´s weird. a lot of our investigators have been young girls lately... i´m not sure why...

There are times when i just think it´s SO beautiful here! but mostly just the chacras. we went on a little adventure into an obscure part of our area the other day and it was down a chacra road. it was GORGEOUS! and their was a house surrounded by flowers and trees. i totally want to live there someday but it turned out to be a business not a house. we know now because we knocked it and contacted the lady that worked there:)

I eat too much here. I need to stop so i don´t get fat! today we went to a chinese restaurant, all you can eat. it´s interesting because it´s argentinized chinese. pretty interesting haha but yeah. mostly i eat fruit so that´s good. i love fruit now! i think i´m turning into you:)
well, i gotta go!
LOVE YA Shaybe Baby!

March 9, 2010

HEY FAMBLY!
This week has been... different. We had a Zone Pday in Roca and then a service project the next day, so we did splits and stayed the night with the other hermanas on monday. Then tuesday was service, cleaning around an old people home... pretty exciting:) and then the whole week was kinda slow finding poeple. school just started again and everyone seems to have dropped off the face of the earth! everyone, that is, except for the Jehovah´s Witnesses who are our new investigators! we taught them a couple days ago.... that was interesting. we didn´t really get past the first principle... but i now know a lot more about their religion! haha It just makes me appreciate that I have the truth. it´s a little frustrating though that they can´t see it, and refuse to even try and see it. we´re going to teach them again, but it´ll probably be the last time since you can´t progress if they don´t even want to read the Book of Mormon.
it´s been super humid the last couple of days, MISERABLE! and finally, last night, the sky decided to let go! and it stormed, like really stormed! with thunder and lightning!!! it was sweet! and the power went out. we stopped by Lorena´s house to get some fruit from them and we were soaked so they let us come inside, and we talked to them for a while. I love that family:)
Oh, something else that made me laugh this week, We went to see some of our investigators in Barrio Nuevo, they´re all just chicas, about 13 yrs old, and two were home so we asked if we could teach them, they said yes but we couldn´t do it at either of their houses so we walked to the park and found somewhere to sit, but we knew we had to catch the bus so the lesson was going to be a short one, and we´d already told them that...
so we sat down, and then looked at our watches... " Oh, so the bus should be coming in like... ( and right then the bus turned the corner) NOW!!! " AHHH so we had to run to catch it and didn´t get to teach them anything. we were just shouting goodbye to them as we ran! "OH UH BYE!!! OH HEY, READ THAT SCRIPTURE TOO!" haha it was great.
anyway, oh it´s a new transfer but i´m still here with Hna Morrill. neither of us left:) I still have people to save here!!!
haha that´s all this week. we´re gonna go make us some delicious cookies!
LOVE YOU ALL!
Oh, and for JD, my area is Villa Regina, well, Godoy, but we have both places in our area.

Valentines Day in Argentina!

Fambly...
that´s right. we got more fruit! i love it though!!! it´s basically pears an
peaches but poeple have started picking grapes now too so maybe we´ll get
some of those soon... mostly it´s Lorena´s family that gives them to us (
she´s a recent convert, well close to a year now, and she´s really cute.
she´s 17) anyway, her mom is adorable and doesn´t let us leave their house
without something!
we made pear dulce (jam) with the rs on fri. that was pretty awesome, and
seriously, it´s SO good!!! i´ve never really liked jam before but i love
this stuff! i just eat it on crackers. of course there are a lot of things i
eat now that i would´ve never expected to like! i eat cereal with yogurt
now( they have that drinkable kind) maybe i already told you that but, i
think my tastebuds are warping or something. I´ll probably come back liking
tomatoes!!! :) nope, probably not...
so... this week, we had one day where we walked all the way to Barrio Nuevo
and back twice in one day. i don´t know exactly how far it is but it takes
about 30 minutes to walk there... and this is in the heat! so the second
time we went because we had a couple appts... and they fell through so we
were just contacting, trying to find someone who would let us into their
houses to teach. and we were about to go find a bench and just sit for a
minute, but i was like, how about we just contact our way to the bench and
then it will be a greater reward when we get there! and Hna Morrill looked
at me like i was crazy! haha so i said, ok let´s just talk to this girl over
here, and she said, k go for it:) so i went up and contacted her and she
said we could teach!!! so we sat down on her window seat, and i´m pretty
sure i melted into it! sitting has never felt so good! and we taught her the
first lesson. her sister came out and gave us Pepsi... and we set up an appt
for this week. then we went to the last appt we had and she wan´t there
either :( but her mom was and let us in to teach. and she´s so nice and the
happiest person ever! and when we left her house, my comp nad i were both
feeling so good! (oh, i forgot to mention we made cookies earlier for some
of the ward members to show our love... they actually almost tasted like
cookies from the states!) so we were like, yay! 3 new investigators!!! it´s
the blessings of our service! and we were so giddy... and then hna Morrill
was like, i don´t know if that´s the spirit, or the Pepsi kicking in! hahaha
i started laughing so hard cuz i had totally forgotten about the pepsi we
drank...
I think it was a little blessing. God sent the Pepsi because he knew we
needed a boost... sacrilege (sp?) haha anyway...
also, a couple nights ago, we went to see a guy we contacted and when we got
there his wife and thirtyish yr old son were there. and when we were talking
to them, the mom was just like, my son needs to be baptized, and he was
like, Yeah, i do!
BINGO!!!
so we taught them about baptism and why it´s important, and the mom was
like... ok, so what does he have to do? because he can´t be buried in the
cemetary unless he´s baptized, and he missed his baptism as a boy because he
got to the church late! hahaha umm... well, we won´t baptize him unless he´s
going to stay a member... SO RANDOM :), but we´re going back to teach him
and his parents, claudio is his name. so we´ll see how that goes down!
anyway, everything is going swimmingly here! I was kinda missing my giant
sugar cookie on valentines, oh which reminds me HAPPY VALENTINES DAY
EVERYBODY!!! haha I´m hugging the computer. I hope you can feel it! i would
kiss it but who knows what kind of germs are living on this thing!
anyway, mucho amor from Argentina!!!!
LOVE,
Hermana Jones

February 8, 2010

HEY!
so... my life is pretty good right now! i´m adjusting and whatnot...
I love the houses here! they´re cute!!! well... not all of them but some.
they´re colorful and little, and the people are generally nice although
we´ve had a few not-so-nice ones when we were trying to contact:) but it´s
ok cuz it just makes you laugh when they totally blow you off or yell Chau!
at you as they run away purposefully! haha
so, we taught a lady earlier this week named Rosa and she´s really pretty!
something about her reminds me of aunt Linda... i don´t know what. not her
personality or anything but something in her face.... anyway, i´m excited
to teach her again! we´re hoping to see her today!!!
so, my house (pension) is cozily nestled behind our landlord´s house. it´s
not bad. i have a bunk bed ( top bunk) and the water is totally drinkable!!!
pretty awesome right?! the member give us loads of fruit and feed us so much
food at lunchtime!!! did i tell you they don´t really have dinner here? so
we have lunch appts and then just eat a little something in our pension at
night.
also, hna Morrill has really stinky feet! one night it smelled like cat crap
so i told her and she looked at me and said no... that´s my shoes. and her
face was just hilarious!!! haha i almost died! but it really wasn´t her
shoes. it was coming from outside:) but seriously, her feet are terrible!
haha oh well, i can live with it!!!
Gotta Go! but I love you all like i love the weird 80s Micheal Mclain music
that telli or shay or Señor Sexy:) or one of you sent me... seriously?! it´s
ridiculous but it brightens my day:)
send more CDs if you plan on sending a package sometime of happy songs like
disney... and my CD that says, good music sampler, or something on it. it
might be scratched but if you could make a copy of that with the mindy
gledhill, child of light song on it too... that´d be super! music makes my
life SO much better!!!!
So, love you forever

Hola from Argentina!

So, I´m sending this to your email because I seriously NEVER remember dad´s and he didn´t email this week so i can´t just reply...

 Anyway, HOLA from ARGENTINA!!!
Haha things are going good! i survived the trip here and Brogan, my companion, shockingly enough, is neither large nor like Hitler! YAY!!! turns out He does answer prayers, like I didn´t already know that:) so I´m glad you prayed for me. My comp is Hna Morrill and she´s lovely. She´s 5´10"... brown hair, from Logan... what else. I´ll try to upload a pic. if not, next week for sure!
oh, so Argentina is warm... and Buenos Aires was SO humid, like taking a bath, outside, in my clothes... uncomfortable. but here it´s good! i´m in VillaRegina and i´m pretty sure there are 3 million dogs in this city alone! they´re everywhere! and it´s hard to find cats... probably because they´ve all been eaten by now by the millions of mangy dog-like creatures!
people keep telling me I don´t look like a N American... whatever that looks like. I´ve gotten Spain, Argentina, and one guy said I looked like a Jehovah Witness... I wonder if he knows that´s not a nationality... :)
I haven´t decided if it´s good or bad that they think i´m hispanic because on the one hand, i fit in alright, but on the other, they expect me to speak spanish, which i absolutely DO NOT!!! haha this i have realized since arriving. they all turn to Hna Morrill and ask her if i understand, which is probably the only phrase i do understand, just because I've heard it so much now:) but it´s all good! i´m learning a little more every day. we've taught 4 lessons. one girl named Tania i was excited about teaching again but she hadn´t read when we went back:( and she´s moving to another city for school so we couldn´t teach her again anyway... but i´m sure she´ll see the light later in her life and be baptized! :)
 HAHAHA
 I gots to go!
Love you all MUCHO!!! you´re in my prayers, and thanks again for yours. sorry I couldn´t answer every email individually but i´ll try to do better next week!
 Love, Hna Jones

OK FAMILIA!!!!
this week has been awesome! i realized something... i LOVE teaching!
i've never felt this way before about it! and it's not like i loathed
teaching before but now it's amazing!!! i have this desire to teach
people because THEY NEED IT! i don't know what it is and i can't even
describe it but it's basically the same thing i've known all along,
you don't teach a lesson, you teach a person.
now, there are a couple reasons i think i feel on fire all of a sudden,
and Hna Georgeson too. we've been great this week!
first, we've been doing better at comp prayer every night, also, we had
a really good planning session for this week and i think God blessed us
for it! but most of all, at least for me, is that I decided to stop being
selfish. i stopped praying for me and started praying for everyone else,
every lesson we teach i pray all day for that person so we can teach them
what they need, and every day i have been picking a different missionary
in my district to pray for, first it was hna Georgeson and i wrote Shay
about that experience i think, then Elder Ericsson, yesterday was
Hna Squires, and today I've been praying to help Hna Lyons.
and guess what? GOD ANSWERS! every time, He answers!!! and it's simple
sometimes and bigger other times but He has answered me and I can see my
Heavenly Father allowing me to help other people! honestly, there is
nothing better! I feel like i understand a little bit now why Dani said
she loved teaching so much. i remember she said that was her favorite
thing in the mission field, and when i got here, at first i really just
didn't get it because teaching is the scariest part!!! especially in a
different language:)but this week i taught with the spirit... IN SPANISH!
i didn't think the two could actually go together for me, not yet anyway.
but it's amazing how the Spanish can come when there is something that
you are just absolutely dying to tell that investigator, when you know
that the thing you need to tell them will honestly help them, and could
change their lives.anyway, needless to say, i feel pretty good right now:)
also, i'm sorry if my letters are too preachy... or, i don't know... but
this is what i'm doing. this is everything that's important. Hopefully,
i explained myself. with how long this email is, how could i not, right?
haha well, i love you all SO SO MUCH!
Only 11 more days here!

A letter from Cami

I got a letter from Cami and I liked the story she had to share with me. So I thought I would share it with all of you.

From Cami:
So I want to tell you something awesome from this week!
I always pray for my companion in whatever she needs but its kind of just in general... you know? But the other night while I was praying, Hna Georgeson left the room for a really long time and when I finished my prayer she still wasn't back so I was worried & went to find her. The door to one of the empty rooms was closed & the light was on, so I knew she was in there, praying (cuz she couldn't pray aloud w/me in the room, obviously) so I went back to my room and I got down on myknees again and prayed just for her. I didn't know what was wrong but I prayed that God would comfort her and that if I could help, I would know how to do that. and then I went to bed.
The next day I could tell something was wrong & so I asked her in the morning what it was and she said she didn't want to talk about it then. So I said okay and gave her space. We had personal study time & I prayed for her when I started my study. My study was good. I had a question in mind & for the first half I found some things that really answered it and got me thinking but the last half, it was good what i was studying in the Book of Mormon and I felt like the spirit had prompted me to read it, but it really did not apply to my problem! I kept writing things downthat I thought of though.....
Anyway, after class, we had time for companion study. I asked Hna Georgeson what was wrong again and she said, "ok, I'll tell you" and she told me that she just didn't feel like she contributed anything to our companionship or district and that she didn't feel like anyone loved her. and she said something like,"I know I have worth & whatever and I'm not looking for pity. I just have been trying to fight this feeling for a while now and get out whatever this isbut I can't seem to!" So I gave her a hug and told her I love her. and it just broke my heart because I really do love her & I can't believe she would ever think that I don't! or think any of the things that she thought!
So we talked for a little bit and I don't' remember exactly what I said to her, but we always share our personal study at the beginning of comp. study so I opened my study journal to do that and as I looked at what I got out of that last half of my study, It was for Hna Georgeson. So I hurried & opened my scriptures to the chapter, which was Helaman 5. in vs 40 it says something to the effect of  "what shall we do that this darkness shall be removed?" because they are stuck and the answer is to cry to God, so they do! until eventually the darkness subsidesand they can see that they are surrounded by fire and angels minister & talk to them! And I just thought that light and fire was probably surrounding them the whole time but they just couldn't see it through the darkness. Just as God is always with us but sometimes we just can't see Him through whatever it is that is our "darkness" at the time. And I was crying and so was she.
Anyway, it was just so cool because I didn't know why I was studying those things at the time and I didn't even get all that out of it the first time but it was the spirit guiding me. God answered my prayer and worked through me to help her and I'll get to do that all the time in the mission filed!!! How cool is that?!

January 8, 2010

Hola!
So, i told you that we were going to have the chance to be hosts again this
week i think... anyway, we did. i went to help my first sister with her
luggage and i looked up at her ( she was tall :) ) and guess who it was!
Katherine Cooper!!!! yes, this is reality! crazy huh?! i had no idea she was
planning on serving a mission! so i think i screamed and i gave her a huge
hug. i was totally speechless for at least a full minute. i just kept making
weird surprised noises... haha! anyway, it was awesome cuz i got to help her
get settled and what-not! small world, the MTC:)
so, next order of business... hna Georgeson might end up flying out the same
time as the rest of us! i guess her visa is coming along. it might end up
being a few days late but we'll see. i hope it gets here on time. i would
really rather not travel alone! that's just scary:)
also, i'm probably just going to send my memory card home in Shay's letter
and have you print off pics for me because the machine keeps breaking before
i get a chance to use it! dang other missionaries! so, i'll try to let you
know who is who in the pictures. that way you're not toally lost. i just
want you to be able to see my district!!!
so... spiritual thought this week. i don't have the scripture ref but i read
about when Peter walked on water and i just hate that people always look
down on him because he sunk. but here's my thought and it's probably not new
but i just loved it anyway. there were 11 other apostles who didn't even get
out of the boat. first, peter calls to Christ and says, hey, tell me to come
to you. and Christ says, ok, Come Here! and he still had the option of begin
like... oh haha jk. i changed my mind, but he got out. and this man WALKED
ON WATER! he's the only other person besides Jesus Christ to ever do that!
How amazing is that?! and yes, he doubted and started to sink, but the
first thing he did was call out to Christ to help him. He didn't try and
save himself by his own will power. he turned to his Lord. and then Jesus
says to him, oh ye of little faith. i used to think, WHAT? little faith?!
really? he walked on water! but i think Jesus, who sees the potential in
every one of us, saw the potential in Peter. He knew what this man could
become and so, in comparison, this was "little faith".
and Peter made plenty of mistakes, but look what he became! the leader of
the church after Christ's death. "upon this rock i will build my church"
man, i just love Peter! He's awesome:)
I guess that's pretty much the end. i have less time today because the
computer is lame and ate almost half of my minutes:( but I love you all!
thanks for your love and prayers!
Be good!!!!
Loves,
Hna Jones
